Hodes Continues Contempt for Taxpayers

Once again backs bloated $300 Billion Farm Bill

(Hillsboro) Republican Grant Bosse today criticized Congressman Paul Hodes for his continued abuse of taxpayer dollars. Hodes voted to override the President’s veto of the bloated $300 Billion Farm Bill.

“Paul Hodes supports extending subsidies to millionaires, discouraging family farms, driving up food prices, and distorting America’s trade policies,” said Bosse. “This farm bill is indefensible, but Paul Hodes continues to follow Nancy Pelosi’s lead at the expense of New Hampshire families.”

The current farm bill has been widely criticized by liberals and conservatives as wasting tax dollars, providing subsidies for non-farmers, and continuing policies that harm the environment. Among the provisions in this year’s bill are subsidies for racehorse owners, a new flood insurance program which would encourage farmers to plant crops in flood plains, and a continuation of wasteful ethanol subsidies.

“Paul Hodes continues to demonstrate his contempt for taxpayer dollars, treating the average American’s wallet as if it were his own,” Bosse continued. “With this vote Paul Hodes has ensured that Americans will not only pay more taxes, but more at the grocery store.”

Bosse’s campaign is centered on freeing the economy from taxes, mandates and over regulation, winning the war against Islamic Fascism, and securing our borders. For more information on Bosse’s campaign, go to www.Bosse2008.com.
